Ralph Borgess, CEO – Hawkeye Safety
“Bridging The Gap Between Field Employees & Management To Create Safety Leaders”
Communication between field employees and upper management is essential for creating a positive safety culture and an effective safety program. Your businesses safety program must be realistic; one that can be applied to real-world construction activities. For a safety program to be successful, a business must have “buy-in” from all levels of the organization. A hands-on and personal approach to safety is a crucial component. Learn: How to get buy in from employees. What is effective communication? Managing employee involvement and attitude. The practical implementation of safety programs.

Keith Brown, Owner – Always Safe Safety Training
“American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) New Aerial Lift (MEWP) Standards”
How will the “new” Aerial (MEWP) Lift Standards affect your team, your business, and your bottom line? What are the requirements facing Owners, Users, and Operators of Aerial Lift Equipment? Will the implementation of these standards keep your team safe and working? What are the fall protection requirements; how do those requirements relate to aerial lifts.

Vic Engleman, Mid-Atlantic Territory Manager – Pure Safety Group and Guardian Fall Protection
“Creating A Culture Around Fall Protection, Importance of Proper Inspection and Fit”

New Laws Drop on October 1st. Construction companies are regularly being cited for mischaracterizing its workforce. OSHA’s fines have increased almost 90% since 2015. Technology affects every aspect of a business. But it’s not all gloom and doom.

Attendees will learn:

  • New, and not so new, “Laws Affecting Your Business”.
  • How to correctly identify and designate “employees” vs. “independent contractors”.
  • What does an “at-will” employment mean?
  • What impact will OSHA’s increased fees, and use of drones for warehouse and site investigations, have on your business?
  • Why is the failure to keep up with technological innovation increasingly bad for your business?

You will not want to miss this unique and affordable opportunity to learn how to stay ahead of the curve and experience premier industry networking that follows our “Wisdom & Wine” presentation.

With too much to do, too many emails and too little time, it can be a struggle to finish projects, meet deadlines and get results on time and on target. Many professionals are working reactively and at a rapid pace, just trying to keep up, which often brings feelings of stress, frustration and overwhelm. This kind of workday is pervasive and persistent, and sadly believed by many to be unchangeable.

In addition, a faulty assumption is often made that everyone knows how to manage their day efficiently, effectively and productively, but not everyone does… and it’s often left to chance. But this can be a costly mistake.

When you attend this presentation, you’ll learn…

  • What you don’t know about how you’re working and what it’s costing you.
  • How to gain more clarity, confidence and control in your workday.
  • The two most effective ways to gain more time in your day.
  • Why the email flag is failing you and what to do instead.
  • The most important driver of productivity, progress and achievement.

Find out how to work most efficiently, effectively and productively with tasks, time and email and learn why it’s so ESSENTIAL to use a workday strategy that WORKS so you can accelerate achievement and make more meaningful, powerful progress on the projects and initiatives that matter the most to you and to the future of your company.

Our Speaker:

Leslie Shreve is a workload management and productivity expert and the Founder and CEO of Productive Day®. Leslie is also the creator of Taskology® The Science of Getting Things Done, a unique, proprietary system that shows executives, managers, professionals and teams how to increase efficiency, effectiveness and productivity; accelerate achievement; and make more meaningful, powerful progress on the projects and initiatives that matter the most to them and to the future of their company.

For more than 13 years, Leslie worked in corporate office environments before establishing Productive Day in 2003. Since then, Leslie has taught hundreds of clients from more than forty different industries how to increase efficiency and improve productivity by up to 300% while reducing stress by up to 90%.

Taskology is a workload management system that’s simple, logical and easy-to-use. Clients previously frustrated or overwhelmed with too much to do, too many emails and not enough time now claim to have a secret—a new system they can use to take charge of their workday; gain more clarity, confidence and control; and get things done faster and easier—and with a LOT less stress.

Following the program, enjoy an hour of networking featuring fine food and drinks. Catch up with old friends, build new relationships, and further discuss the strategies needed to become more productive.
